Boat-tailed Grackle (Quiscalus major major) male.

Today will be my last post for a few weeks. I will be back on line tonight but my wife and I are headed to Panama for a few weeks and we leave in the morning. It is not a birding trip per se but I can not go anywhere without birding and photographing (lol). Stay safe and keep your cameras clicking!
Habitat
Shoveler pond (leveed fresh water marsh) surrounded by coastal prairie and marshes at ca. 1 m (3.3) ft elevation.
Location
Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, southwest of Winnie, Chambers County, Texas, USA.
