Superb catch of this iconic well named Owl of the Northern Forests! I read your site provided and it was spot on. We had these in Alaska when I lived there, wish I had more interest and a camera those long-ago years. Always nice to see what you have provided us!

Thank you for the feedback and story. Yes, these little owls are pretty good survivors in the cold climates. I really hope to see them more in the forests - Not so much near people.
