Common Sandpiper

Not all my digiscoped pictures are as dull as these last three, but I'm glad to have them all for different reasons.

This was taken on the last day of the Strathspey Bash, after the group had broken up and I spent the afternoon with Ken and Evelyn (both of whom died last year).

This picture was taken at a loch with an unpronouncable name somewhere near Aviemore.
Habitat
Rocky water edges
Location
Strathspey
Date taken
2 July 2006
Scientific name
Actitis hypoleucos
Equipment used
Nikon Coolpix 4500 and Leica APO77
Another bird I've yet to see, no matter how "common" it supposedly is. So ... hmmm ... should I have digiscope equipment on my holiday wish list, or not?

This is a really lovely image with a great setting Delia. Superb !!! Thanks for sharing.

Always nice to have images that bring back good memories. A lovely capture D.

A lovely scene, beautifully composed. Feels like I'm sitting on one of those rocks just taking it all in. Very, very nice!
