Giant Applesnail Egg Clutches
Giant Applesnail Egg Clutches (Pomacea maculata: Ampullariidae) The shell is up to 15 cm (5.9 in) across. Native to South America; introduced and is an invasive species. Egg clutches are on the base of a Bald Cypress tree.
Habitat
Gulf Coast Marshes and Prairies vegetation area, shallow lake with swamps and marshes at 14.3 m (47 ft) elevation.
Location
Sheldon Lake State Park and Environmental Learning Center, Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA.
