Golden-shouldered Parakeet
An old painting of one of the most endangered Australian psittacidae. The stunning Golden-shouldered Parakeet displays a striking sexual dimorphism (male top / female bottom). This species lives mostly in Cape York Peninsula, in Queensland, in open forests and grasslands, close to termite mounds where this parakeet burrows its nest.
