Llanfihangel Gobion
I've previously shown you pictures of the River Usk at Llanfihangel Gobion, but this is looking the other way. Imagine the river is over to the right, it bends it's way round so it's then in front under the trees ahead. But 20 or so years ago it took a different course and would have been behind us; the change happened overnight! :eek!:

Anyway we stopped, leaning on the gate passing the time of day like a right pair of peasants, hoping to see something interesting pass by, but not much moved at all.

Just as we turned to leave a blur shot out from the bottom of the hedge on our right and shot across the narrow strip to a bit of wood. Andy called Little Owl and I stamped my foot, as I'd not had a good enough view of what would have been another Lifer - oh the times he's taken me places to look and they've not played ball.

I'm obviously fated!

Very interesting stuff about the course of the river D. A beautiful picture and an obviously birdy place. Sorry the birds were not out for you. It sounds as if the Little Owl was playing with you, or maybe taunting you. Thanks for sharing and taking us along!!!!!

big sigh, what a lovely sight, i only see it in my dreams really places like this with running river, in real life one can only see an endless sea of sands, maybe with some patches of pale green that if it rained.

A fantastic landscape and LoL all I can say about the title is I am pleased you are spelling the place not me
