Northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos)

While singing, these birds will jump a meter or so in the air and dive back to their perch. This one was mimicking acorn woodpeckers to their face. I love it.

WOW, awesome close-up overhead of this Northern Mockingbird with magnificent eye contact, spread wings, and flared tail. Great clarity and image quality showing beautifully against that blue sky. Exquisite MMF! TFS!
