Went down to Saltney on the outskirts of Chester today to take a look at the Purple Gallinule. Showing brilliantly from the footbridge over a small dyke in the company of a family of Moorhens. Probably an escapee but still a great bird (not going to count it though
). Then went looking for the Lesser Yellowlegs at Inner Marsh farm on the dee estuary. Unfortunately it had disappeared when I arrived (although turned up again this evening :-C), got Wood Sandpiper though which takes me to 189.
