Another year tick for me today with a stunning Hobby at Brockholes Quarry, one of my favourite birds, taking me up to 188. Thats 4 year ticks in 5 days and I hope to get another couple tomorrow ;)

Right I have seen 77 species so far this year :)
Which includes such birds as , puffin, gannet, little owl, and a ring ouzel.
And I am in Lincolnshire, England :)

I am missing quite a few easy ones, like red shank, and black caps, just to name two, but I haven't been able to do much birding this year because of GCSE's and things, hopefully in autumn i will be able to make up my duck and wader numbers, and just see what else I see along the way :)

250. with first day in Montreal including Northern Cardinal, Yellow-bellied Flycatcher, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Philadelphia Vireo, Yellow bellied Sapsucker, Great Crested Flycatcher, Baltimore Oriole

Went down to Saltney on the outskirts of Chester today to take a look at the Purple Gallinule. Showing brilliantly from the footbridge over a small dyke in the company of a family of Moorhens. Probably an escapee but still a great bird (not going to count it though ;)). Then went looking for the Lesser Yellowlegs at Inner Marsh farm on the dee estuary. Unfortunately it had disappeared when I arrived (although turned up again this evening :-C), got Wood Sandpiper though which takes me to 189.

We should start a new thread "Young birders dodgy ticks 2010", it could consist of Hooded Merganser, Purple Gallinule and House Finch!! Anything else?;)

Just got enough connection, seen loads of new birds, on a short boat trip tonight, and the scillies trip was great! A bit more time down here and then up to forest of dean and finally to my grans in shrops, so room to get quite a few new birds on top of what i have already seen.
