Leica Is The Best Forget The Rest! (1 Viewer)

Apparently Hokey Pokey in USA, Hokey Cokey over here
I thought this was a wartime Cockney dance that had found its way to the US during or after the war but it seems I was wrong. It's much older, according to the Oxford English Dictionary:

1873 J. Miller Life amongst Modocs (1876) xiii. 192 One man..danced a sort of a savage hokee-pokee, and sang.
Michael.

I know very little about binoculars.
My first set was a high end set like Leica Trinovid. I looked through them and said "They are OK, nice, but nothing all that impressive"

Well, I looked through other, non-Leica binoculars, and another set, and that's when it hit me how nice Leica really is.

Ooooh .... one that came fresh from the Moguls skiing resort.

Don't tell me .... Would this be the famous and feared Swiss Naval Mogul Mountain Division Binocular Attack Squad? The ones with 21 jewel Rolex Wrist Cuckoo Clock Porros?

(P.S. - You may be the only one who knows what I'm talking about)!

Japanese white-eye. I think they've been the most abundant and widespread bird in Hawai'i for a while now. They're a bit of a pest, though I'm not sure how much damage they really do. Their most annoying feature is that they distract you when you're looking for the rare little green endemic birds. (hence my motto, expressed in frustration daily)

You know I do know, Jerry (of course that's not your real name). I mean us guys from the SNIH (Swiss Naval Intelligence Headquarters) who are in the habit of peeping down every little hole.

Guess what people on BF would say if they knew we are equipped with the new PPPPP (Pentax' precious Porro pocket periscope)!?
Maybe they wouldn't Leica us anymore.

Chee(r)se,

LOL! I would love to own some Swarovkies.
You can't own them if you can't spell them! Just kidding! Just remember when you go to the binocular shop to ask for L-E-I-C-A. I had a pair of 8x32 Swaro's and they were pretty good but I compared them to Zeiss and Leica and the Leica's were best 2nd were the Zeiss and the Swaro's came in third. Swaro's just don't have the contrast or color saturation of Leica's. You really have to have a trained eye to see the difference. I really think Leica's are built tougher after having both of them for awhile. The armoring seems to last longer on the Leica's. Look at REALLY colorful scene through a Swaro and a Leica and notice how ELECTRIC and ALIVE the view through the Leica is. The Swaro's might have a little flatter field but I personally like CONTRAST and COLOR SATURATION.

Having owned Ultravid 10 x 42's for over a year, a televid 77 (non APO) for 3 years and today tried out my new televid 62 APO I couldn't agree more.

The build quality is superb compared to our Nikon 10 x 42's & 8 x 32's. Wake up Nikon!!
