Help please: Opticron Universal Hide Clamp - views needed.

The ins & outs of birding equipment beggars belief ;) When, I'm in a hide and there's not much hope of using a tripod due to space restrictions and conideration to other birders, I use a rifle grip, cheap, homemade, versitile & stable and costs nothing. IH

    The Birdwatchers Yearbook

Ruddy Duck! An oversight by WMBC! Well done  A M's told everybody who uses ng's in numerous posts! An embarrassment not needed by members of the WMBC committee ;) IH

    Tripod advice please

I'd not bother with Manfrotto's, too expensive. Try Slik or Velbon models although these are still out of your price range! You'll need to spend £60+ IMHO. IH

And that prat got another well paid job after leaving the RSPB!!! A figurehead only, doesn't know much about birds that's probably why she had to be shown a Monty :C IH

    Slight blurring...

Change of mind ;) Don't seem to be! The bird nearest has a longish beak(BlTG!) At the rear seems to be ploverish. 'Ain't a clue to be honest. IH

    Slight blurring...

I'd agree Black-tailed ;) I'll try to sharpen the image up just to make sure! IH

So that's why you need decent bin's!

Canna understand this! No need to keep bins around the neck "if" you have problems with them. As to using a 'scope at all times, it's limiting IMHO. IH

Got a tripod a Velbon Sherpa! Brilliant, if she doesn't like it, I'll keep it. Its better than my antiquated Slick D3.
