Slight blurring... (1 Viewer)

Hmmm tricky picture Andrew. I'm thinking Godwits, although it's not so easy to say which sort. I'll tentatively plump for Black-tailed - that is assuming that they're all the same species.

Aha.... Blurry pics - you've found my area of expertise at last.

I reckon Plovers too, but wouldn't like to say which...

Small clue - it was at Cliffe a couple of weeks ago.

Will post a photo this evening with them all standing, moments before this one was taken.

I'd agree Black-tailed ;) I'll try to sharpen the image up just to make sure!

Change of mind ;) Don't seem to be! The bird nearest has a longish beak(BlTG!)

At the rear seems to be ploverish.

'Ain't a clue to be honest.

Well, maybe it was too difficult...

Here is the view just before the first pic - I was digiscoping and the camera was on continuous in an attempt to beat the wind - not very successful though as all shots were a bit blurred.

I think all the putative godwit bills were wings - there were no godwits near. There were one or two grey plovers around, but I don't think any of them are in the photo.
