    I think you could be right Andrew, having looked at the images more closely. The supercillium in pic 2 is longer than that of a Chiffchaff.

    Started the morning at Barmston Pond to top up the feeders. 2 Bullfinch, 5 Goldfinch, 2 Coal Tit and singles of Great Tit, Blue Tit and Robin.     Barmston Pond. A lot more on the pond than has been recently, 1stw Med Gull(patch tick:t:), 1 Gbb Gull, 4 Gadwall, 1 Pochard, 2 Shelduck, 2 Canada Geese, 6 Teal, 21 Tufted Duck, 2 Mute Swans, Mallards, Coots, and Moorhen. Surrounding trees pr Chaffinch, pr Bullfinch, 1 Goldcrest, 3 Robin.
