Genus: Aleadryas
Description
This genus contains just one species, the Rufous-naped Bellbird from New Guinea.
It's more robust and more terrestrial than other Whistlers. Its diet includes also fruit.
Taxonomy
Aleadryas is a genus in the Family Oreoicidae.
It was formerly placed in with the Whistlers in the family Pachycephalidae and even placed in the genus Pachycephala. However, a new study shows that this genus is related to Crested Bellbird and Piping Bellbird.
