Genus: Parkerthraustes

Description

Yellow-shouldered Grosbeak

Taxonomy

This genus contains only a single species which has previously been included in genus Caryothraustes.
Parkerthraustes has traditionally been placed as a genus in the family Cardinalidae; recent evidence indicates that it is better treated as a member of the family Thraupidae.
