Disambiguation

Socotra Cisticola was the name used for Socotra Warbler Incana incanus by Sibley and Monroe (1993) (when they placed that species in the genus Cisticola). Sibley and Monroe (1993, 1996) used the name Island Cisticola for C. haesitatus.

Identification

Length 9-10 cm. Similar to Zitting Cisticola, but duller. It is smaller than the Socotra Warbler, and is browner and heavily streaked above. Socotra Warbler has plain greyish-brown upper parts.
