OK next try. It looks like he really died at the date of his marriage 7. June 1847.

I think there was a reason why he married just before his death and this was his illegitimate son Emile Alexandre Velosa (than Goudot) born 6. October 1840 in Lagué (Hagué?) Province de Mariquita.

Note: No connection to Waiting for Go(u)dot from Samuel Beckett. (I know a lousy joke).

Small correction Ibagué is the place of birth.
