White Winged Crossbills (1 Viewer)

I'm so excited... I just caught sight of a pair of these pretty little birds. They were hanging out with the pine grosbeaks and at a quick glance, it was just their size that gave them away. They are half the size of the grosbeaks! Looks to be one male and one female so far. I hope they come close enough for a picture sometime. I'll keep watching for their cousins as well, the red crossbills. I've only seen a male one once.
I was finally able to see a couple of common redpolls in the yard the other day and my two red breasted nuthatches have returned as well. Still no sign of the white breasted ones though.
