Common Raven/American Crow inter-species interaction (1 Viewer)

I moved to Los Angeles last year, and one thing that I've been struck by is that's it one of the few places I've been where you can find large numbers of both American Crows and Common Ravens in close proximity, even in very urban areas. I'm curious if there's any scientific literature on how these two species interact? I assume they must carve out separate niches/prey items; I'd love to read more about this. Thanks!

They're both quite flexible and opportunistic omnivores, it's hard to imagine either species specializing much even in near proximity to the other. I would, however, expect to see separation in nesting sites.

Don't know if anybody has looked into this, I imagine there's a local school with a biology program where somebody would be interested, e.g. https://www.eeb.ucla.edu/
