Does anyone in Scotland have recent news on this bird? Some of us Sassenachs are drooling for it but its a long step by any standards...

On the assumption it is there and we nail it early, what's a good place to look for Capers at this stage of the year?

And are there Dotterels near the Glenshee ski-lift or anywhere else fairly handy from a road?

Finally, what sort of views have the scoters and King Eider been giving at Blackdog? I notice Surfbirds hasn't been exactly sinking under the number of gripping photos.

Cheers

Sorry John didn't get a chance to visit after all - had to work late - no news from my local contacts though. I saw Dotterel, summer Snow Bunting and Ptarmigan on the summit of Cairngorm two weeks ago if that helps?

Thank you very much. I think though that without positive news on the main event I will have to wave off on this one.

No doubt it will now be reported Saturday evening....

Cheers

John
