A friend sent this pic, a Goshawk is in the area near Voorburg. Just trying to decide sparrowhawk or goshawk..cant give the size on the pic I have.

Of course I agree with goshawk, but I think that this bird not in 2nd cal year, due to head pattern, barring on body and barrig on remiges. Looks good for adult male...

you are right, should still have partly juvenile underparts, just looked at the brownish unmoulted flight feathers
