USA Living in the UK (1 Viewer)

Puffins4Life
Hello,
I am from Denver, CO in the USA, but have been living in North Yorkshire, UK for the past 18 Months. About a year ago on a hike along the River Nidd I saw the blue flash of a Kingfisher whizz by and became fanatical with getting a better look. So I bought a decent pair of binoculars (after much research and debates on 10x or 8x - decided on Nikon Monarch 7 10x42), and bought a RSPB field guide to UK Birds. My new obsession was born. Now I have a subscription to a magazine and a growing collection of books on birds all over the house - much to my wife's increasing alarm! Anyhow, new to BirdForum and have been enjoying all this wonderful resource and community has to offer.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think a lot of spouses are dismayed when we pick up the birding bug, then they learn to live with it, help us with it or catch it themselves. ;)

Welcome to bird forum Puffins4Life. This is a wonderful site and everyone is really nice. I am pretty new here too. I found out about the site googling info on pantry moth's that came in on my birdseed. lol I also love kingfisher's. I have a pic of one in my gallery and in fact it was my first photo post here. :)

Welcome to BirdForum! I am sure you will find lots to interest you here, and I hope you enjoy your visits. Lovely photo.
