Another highlight from my Tenerife trip in December and a new lifer for me to boot.
I had such a great time playing hide n' seek with this little beauty(On it's own I may add, I thought they were a social bird?) on the beach(if you can call it that ;)) in Las Americas, I have some comical shots...
Following a very dull and very wet day we had a lovely sunny evening so I popped down to the coast for an hour to make the most of it. A pair of Grey Plover were amongst the waders coming into roost for the night.
Made it to Titchwell yesterday, a few bits and pieces about. The tide was well out, so rolled me trousers up, and walked almost to Brittainy for this un. Not as close as I would like, but a very beautiful bird all the same, and a newbie for me. I'm well buggered today, but we're off to Cley, so...
Spotted running around on the edge of the water. More of a record shot than anything, as this is the only grey plover I think I've seen. Was raining at the time too!
Not a very good shot, but a first for me. We had a ride along Pett Pools sunday afternoon. Too much water, and too windy to see much. In the fields nearby, two Grey Plovers foraging. Unfortunately they didn't come close enough for a decent shot, but still a newbie for me.
