Simply Red

A Red Kite in Dumfries and Galloway. We saw loads of these over the week but I didn't get one shot which I am really happy with. We could have gone to the Kite feeding station at Laurieston but I think it is much more exciting when you happen upon them when you are out and about. Ron

Roadside Red Kite

Well Peeps, Im home alone today, company gone, Hazel in Geneva. I was gonna take meself off to Rye Harbour this morning, but we are forecast rain and thunderstorms today, so I guess it will be a beach walk later. Three from last years Wales trip today.

Taken on a very rainy day and therefore getting good shots was difficult, this bird was close to the hide and angle itself perfectly to catch the light that was available. It made up for the dozens that I had to delete.

I'd just put back on the 1.4TC to get some shots of the buzzards strolling around, when this caught my eye. Flying directly in my direction I chanced a shot, and very luckily it came out sharp and just in the frame. No crop here at all!
