    Taken on a very rainy day and therefore getting good shots was difficult, this bird was close to the hide and angle itself perfectly to catch the light that was available. It made up for the dozens that I had to delete.

    I'd just put back on the 1.4TC to get some shots of the buzzards strolling around, when this caught my eye. Flying directly in my direction I chanced a shot, and very luckily it came out sharp and just in the frame. No crop here at all!

    I can't really convey what it was like. For an hour or more there were always at least 60 Kites in flight. The farmer reckons that they work through the pecking order and we had about 250!

    Gigrin is one of the places that feeds Red Kites every day. For an hour or more there were never less than 60 in view. The owners reckon there had been 250, taking their turns. The Kites do not land. They pick up the food and fly off.
