Just recently watched a documentory about Aigas on Horse & Country SkyTV I was most impressed. Wonder if any BF members have visited this center I may look into this for the New Year. Can any advise the best month to visit seems they closed down at the end of October. I also have a disabled friend who could be interested, what are the disabled facilities like ?. At the moment I am waiting for a brochure.

Regards

Roy.

I have just returned from Aigas and as a fairly new Birder I would never have known what I was looking at without the help of the brilliant and highly knowlegeable Rangers. I am confined to a wheelchair and in all honesty I should never have gone there. On arrival I found that I could not get into the bathroom in our cabin. Had to go to the nearest town for B & B. All trips are in mini buses and as I could not get in I had to follow in my car, adding £100 to my fuel bill. I could not get to some of the sites and missed quite a bit. Hope this helps. Any more questions please ask. John

I've been and thought it was brilliant. I went on the photography course. (Not that it shows in the dreadful photos I put on here occasionally!)

Certainly the cabin I was in would not have been suitable for someone in a wheelchair and as BluncodyBoy said, the outings are all in minibuses which didn't appear to have facilities for wheelchairs.

The food was great.............although being rather piggy I would have liked slightly larger portions! If you go make sure you sit next to someone who doesn't eat very much so that you can snaffle some of their food lol.

I'd say to go in Spring or Autumn but that's just my opinion. I can imagine it might get a bit midgy in the summer months.

Have you had a look at their website? I'm sure you could e-mail them any questions that you might have.
