Visited Bartley on Wednesday this week and saw the following-
On and around the reservoir were Great Crested Grebe, 5 Mallard (3m+2f), 3 Tufted Duck (1m+2f), 3 Goldeneye (3f), Black-Headed Gull, Herring Gull, Lesser Black-Backed Gull, numerous Magpie as usual, Carrion Crow, Woodpigeon and 1 Pied Wagtail on the far shoreline.
Other sightings were Blue Tit, Starling, Blackbird, 1 Buzzard and 1 Grey Heron flyovers, and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker heard from Bromwich Wood.
17 species in all not a bad total for an hours visit considering what Bartley can be like.
