the Fujinon TS-X 14x40 is very good also for more distant birding

No doubt the optics and stabilization are superb but the focussing speed has been described as glacial so for all round birding including woodlands maybe some of the other canons are better.

I don't know about the newish 10x32 but certainly the 10x30 is meant to be faster but then the close focus is 4.2m so that's not great for close in birding.

10x42 focuser is good for me, it's easier to get precise focus than other binoculars. Move your finger faster!
