Don't know whether the Waxwing returned or not as I didn't hang around.

Other birds seen today included:

A singing Chiffchaff just west of Salwarpe this morning. No sign of pollen around its forehead so possibly not a fresh migrant - with the winds turning southerly mid-week I expect them to be rushing in.

A very modest increase in Chiffchaffs this morning - with 8 seen/heard between Droitwich and Tapenhall.
A pair of Tufted Ducks on Tapenhall pool plus another drake on nearby flooded field

A Little Owl at Linacres paddocks late morning.
2 Snipes flew from Coney Meadow
1 Red Kite over near Tapenhall
A significant influx of Chiffchaffs over the past few days - with 46 singing between Droitwich and the confluence at Hawford.
Pair of Stonechats near the bridleway at Salwarpe plus a male along the canal near Hawford
Water Rail calling from the canal near Tapenhall
Cetti's Warblers

A couple of Siskins
2 Coot on floods at the bottom of Egg Lane.

3 Mandarins at Ladywood this morning (2m, 1f) landed in an old orchard. Another Mandarin over near Tapenhall.

5+ Greylags flying around Tapenhall/Mildenhall/Hawford

Quiet this morning with rain showers coming in.

Flock of c12 Fieldfares a couple of days ago (winter thrushes seem scarce now) and a few Snipes flew from Coney reedbed at dusk. Water Rail called.
