Crossbill ID Gloucestershire (4 Viewers)

I was never convinced by the unimpressive bill of the much heralded and much viewed prospective "Parrot" Crossbill on the Sussex/ Surrey? Downs last winter, but the bird itself dwarfed the Commons it was with.

I saw a Common on Cannock Chase a few winters ago, that possessed a huge bill like this bird.

I have never seen Parrot or Scottish Crossbill despite two weekend attempts in Speyside and Deeside, including the beautiful Glen Tanar. Fascinating species.
