Curio 7x21 vs. CL 8x25 pocket (2 Viewers)

I may get a Curio and if so a black. I agree about the difference between 7x21 and 8x25.
And I reason that 7x21 is a true pocket glass and as a good next step is Zeiss SFL 8x30, which is slightly larger and with even better hold comfort than CL 8x25. Still so compact and light weight that it it feels ok to carry around. AND: I prefer single hinge design.

I now have a CL 7x21 and a NL 10x32. Pure luxury, I know, but I am missing something between those sizes. The NL 10x32 is still quite large/heavy for a 32mm. The 7x21 is a very nice pocket bin, but not comfortable enough to really enjoy the view (for me). So now I am leaning towards a 8x25 or 8x30. My wallet (and because of that my wife as well) would prefer a 8x25. The difference with the 7x21 might be too small to justify it. A lightweight 8x30 such as the CL or the SFL would be more comfortable, but the difference with the NL 10x32 in size isn't big either. A first world dilemma.
I understand why you prefer single hinge. I might reconsider the VP 8x25 because of that and the larger FOV.

I can't comment from experience about the case sizes because I don't use the Curio case (I use a Lowepro case which is wide enough to store the Curio set for my IPD rather than having to fully close them to fit in the case and then adjust them again when I use them the next time. But per the spec's on the Swarovski site the CL case is only 0.7 inch longer than the Curio case, only 0.2 inch wider and only 0.1 inch higher. So using a CL case for a Curio shouldn't present a problem.

I have both, and as the 8*25 I have is green with "orangy" straps and the curio is orange with black strap, my wife protested!
So now the orange curio has an orangy strap from the 8*25 and lives perfectly well inside the orange (CL mountain) case which has its own strap, and the CL lives in the black curio case with the black straps on the outside and peace reigns in the home.

It is so refreshing to know that I am not the only retired Military person who recognises that, when the Chief of Staff protests, 'tis best to check rear view mirror, engage reverse gear and retreat with honour....and with working parts still working.

My beloved was expelled from the Taliban for cruelty. I have a sneaking suspicion that low flying handbags and shoes will not divert her and would be returned with a greater velocity and accuracy.
I was not aware Helmand province is somewhere in the peaceful valleys otherwise known for their magic mushrooms ...
