Current stste of ZenRay glare control (1 Viewer)

I have the original 8X43 ED model and the crescent veiling is very much present all the time especially if the sun is anywhere over or behind me. But even then the 8X43 ED, even though I have lost an eye cup screw is my main birding bin thanks to a very good view.

Just to give you an example of how impressive the view is, our group leader at Corbett national park had ordered a pair, after seeing through mine even though he was using a Swarovski EL.

I stay in India so have been unable to return the bin for a better sample or to get the eye cup fixed in case you are wondering why I haven't sent these in yet.

I am really looking to buy an another pair in spite of the problems I am facing, because I absolutely love the view but only the crescent shaped glaring is stopping me from getting that other pair. But I hope this will be taken car of and I can get that other Zen ray soon.
