Do you use the custom settings on your camera or do you simply use one of the preset modes such as shutter priority or programme mode?
If you do you a custom mode, what settings have you used?

I set up 3 custom sttings on my 40D, but the only one I use regularly is for BIF, all the way to the stop so I can find it without looking (a recommendation from another Bird Forum post). Mostly I use Aperture Priority Mode.

Regards, Jim
