Decent trip to my local patch. (1 Viewer)

Popped down to my local patch yesterday afternoon (Marsh Lane in the West Midlands) and considering it is as far as you can get from the coast had a reasonably good couple of hours.

There were a lot of Ringed and Little Ringed Plovers present too numerous and mobile to count accurately but at least 12.A lone Dunlin plus Oystercatchers,Redshanks,Sandmartins,Common Snipe and several Common Buzzards were also present.

Best for me as it was a lifer was a male Wheatear which showed well on one of the islands(sorry about pic. it was a long way off ).

Went again this morning and there was a Greenshank in full Summer plumage showing very well from the Oak hide.Did not take my camera -What a twit!!!!!
