The latest firmware update for the EOS M camera is now available for download. Canon estimate a 2.3 X increase in one shot AF speed. I've installed it and yes the AF is greatly improved. I've only tried it with the 18-55 mm lens so far, not with the 22mm or EF /EFs lenses via the adapter. Initial impressions are positive mind you. Based on my limited testing I'd recommend anybody with this camera gets the firmware update.
