First of all apologies - I posted in here yesterday but hadn't read the rules of the forum and my post was deleted.:eek!: Sorry.
I wanted to share my partner's paintings - Paul is a brilliant artist and has recently started painting birds - hence why I wanted to post in here!
He is currently focusing on painting our local birds - many actually visit our garden and we have a 'special' area set up where we can get good shots of birds on branches / posts etc rather than feeders. (The feeders are nearby!)
I'll start with 5 of his most recent paintings - for those not in the UK. Robin, Long Tailed Tit (my personal favourite), Marsh Tit, Nuthatch and Sparrowhawk. The latter is a two edged sword as it swoops into the garden to catch the other birds!! This particular bird landed on our bird bath and just sat there, fortunately the camera was near by and artistic licence enabled Paul to paint it on something more natural!
Let us know what you think.....
