Gelechiidae (??) ID (Cumbria, UK) (1 Viewer)

Hello

I found this micro yesterday on open grassland. It seems to be similar in form (including palps) to some of the Gelechiidae in my field guide, but I can't find a plausible match. It was 10-11mm long.

I'm not holding out much hope for an ID down to species level, but just to have the family confirmed (or otherwise) would be something!

Thanks

Paul

Many thanks for that, Rose!

It doesn't look much like the Blastobasis lacticolella image shown in my field guide, but I'm sure you're right!

Regards

Paul
