hard to believe that it has taken this long to see a crossbill this year, really thin on the ground in Angus just now.

This is the 1st year that this bird has failed to breed in Angus thanks to our friends in the shooting fraternity.

last day of the year... failed in my attempt to get Snow Buntings this year...

2 heard only birds to add... both late June/early July

by coincidence I heard them both together on one occasion....quite magical sounds !
