I want to say hello to all of you. I'm Norbert, married, 1 grown up son, retired. My hobbies up to now are astronomy, electronics and playing the acoustic guitar.
As the nights are getting more and more cloudy I think to switch to nature- and bird-watching by day. I have a Ddoptics EDX fieldstar 8x30 I bought for the fast look in polar regions. In search for a larger bino (i.e.10x42) I found this forum, and I hope to met some nice people here to give me some advice.

Hi Norbert and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi Norbert

I am sure you will find lots of like minded people on here to discuss your interests with.

Seeing Aachen in the title brings back happy memories of visiting your Christmas Market and enjoying Aachener Printen.

Richard

Thanks all for you cordially welcomes. Hi Huntso, yes the Christmas Market is really nice and the Aachener Printen are tasty sweets :) .

Norbert

As a thank you I want to share this starling (I suppose) with you, my 1st try with a Williams Zenithstar 103mm APO and a ZWO astro camera. Distance about 400 meters (~ 1000 feet).
