Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and mostly new to birding. I got interested in them like lots of people during quarantine when I had more time to pay attention to what's going on in my yard/neighborhood. After spotting some yellow warblers during a trip to a local nature preserve I got bit by the birding bug and bought a nice pair of binoculars (Monarch 5 in 8x42) and am now seeing all sorts of birds on my street I never knew about let alone noticed before (northern flicker, red-bellied woodpecker, downy woodpecker, nut-hatch, etc.).

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the more experienced people here!
