Hi, I'm a scientist & birder living on the South Coast of England, also interested in insects & nature generally. Travelling to Japan with my family in July so looking for any tips on birding around Tokyo & Kyoto - got an organised trip booked in the latter, plus a day trip out from Tokyo to Mt Fuji area

Hi, Robbie. Welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. If you post in this area of the forum, someone should be along to give you ideas.

Hi Robbie and a warm welcome from me too. We do have an article in our Opus section covering the Tokyo Area which you might find of interest and give you some ideas of where to go while waiting for someone to respond from the link Lisa gave you. You can look at it here: Tokyo Area - BirdForum Opus . There's on it a link to Japan so you can look at more pages there.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
