Hi everyone. My name is David Woolf Stein from Johannesburg SA. I have been a keen photographer since university days and started my hobby using ilford FP4 and my own darkroom. I have been disconnected from the hobby for a decade due to work pressure, I am back and am interested in getting into bird and wildlife photography. I recently purchased a Sigma F2.8 300 mm lens. I am going to do some research on how to use it effectively. Thanks for allowing me to join this forum.

Hi David and a warm welcome to you from those of us on BirdForum! You've found the perfect spot to park yourself :) and post your bird pictures and we look forward to seeing them ;)

Thank you Mr Foggin. I have thus far only one bird shot as the weather has been poor since I got the lens .
The shot is not great but it show that the lens is good quality as I took the shot in harsh light and the composition is somewhat boring .
