Hello - I have been interested in birds/wildlife since I was a nipper but over the last 3 years or so have started to be more active in my birding, actually travelling to various sites rather than just staying local. I have just purchased a 2nd hand Kowa TS-611 scope. I have spent hours and hours reading the forums on here and have learnt a lot from you guys. What I want to know though (maybe I should post elsewhere) are a couple of things. The scope comes with an eyepiece which says on it 060 27XW - what does this mean (the 0 has a line through it as in zero) Its removeable, are there any eyepieces I should consider to enhance the scope, particualrly with a view to digiscoping. Knowing me and fads I go through, I will probably ditch the scope for something "better" and then buy a camera to go with it blah blah blah, but earlier this evening, I went out for a walk with a view to messing about with the scope and my very basic point and shoot digital camera purchased from Aldi over 4 years ago !! I took the attached photo (and some others) just by holding the camera upto the lens - no attachments or anything - I was really impressed when I got back and uploaded to PC - I expected very blurry images, like you get when you use digital zoom on the camera - whats your verdict - be honest ? I probably need to read more about digiscoping but my way is to dive in without reading the instructions !!!!! Look forward to getting involved more on the site, thanks, Scott. These Newbies do go on don't they
