How to solve the twisted straps issue with Field Pro lugs once for all (1 Viewer)

Own a NL Pure and CL Companion. Both excellent bino’s. Enjoy the great optical quality, never suffered from “strap” things…
The armour thing has been solved, now it’s the strap… Ughhhhh
Always the same people complaining…

Still twists though, as the strap adapter still spins freely and allows the strap to twist up. Have to untwist my standard strap from time to time.
This happens to me, when I loan mine to a friend. Now the vast majority of time if I keep the thing to myself and follow the system I tried to demonstrate in above video. Getting in and out of a basic strap or say an RYO (my favorite) just requires you pay a bit of attention, adopt a habit, to keep the straps in line getting into and coming off your neck, shoulder, etc. When done for the day, tug the strap straight (see vid) and wrap around the bino locking in the orientation for next time.

Anyway, I digress. I also use the Peak Design anchors, but not for my binoculars. I find the anchors don't work very well with the rainguards I prefer, and rainguards are pretty important to me. How do you use the anchors with rainguards like the good old Zeiss rainguards?

I use a diy short lanyard to attach rainguards like this:

So when in use, the rainguard just dangling on one side of the bino:

May not be the best solution but works OK for me.

Hi folks any suggestions as to where to buy the Field Pro strap adaptors that allow you to fit traditional flat straps in the UK? They seem to be very scarce and can’t find any in of the online shops…

I'm pretty careful when placing expensive binoculars and their strap down, and equally so picking them up, so the FP neck strap rarely becomes twisted in use for me.
Getting it out of the storage bag however will require a moment or two of checking.

In use I find it provides (along with the Steiner quick release strap) a slightly freer carry-feeling which I like.
Lugs are fine though, except of course for the Nikon E2 8x30.

I do that, but I just use string. Very elegant.

Just lift it up, and let go of it. No fussing, and nothing in the way.
String works for me. This red string was placed as experiment months ago, never chose the 'right' length. The home made strap is thin and wraps easily around binocular and fits smoothly in and out of the side bag. Rain cover pushed off with forefingers and dangles. Not much twisted strap of an issue to be of concern.

I know this has been an nagging issue for many ever since the Field Pro was introduced by Swarovski. I came up with this a couple of years ago since I bought a pair EL. Because the FP have been out for many years, I thought people would have already had good solutions for this issue. But lately I came across some posts which seems to me some are still being bother by this with no good solution. Here's how I solved it once and for all. With a little swivel device made for key rings in line, I can use any kind of straps system without ever getting them twisted up again. Note that I use 2 split rings per swivel but it's really not necessary, one would be strong enough. You can find all these little things on Amazon.

Greetings,
Must the Peak Design Anchor Links be used exclusively with Peak Design straps?

When I got my wife her 8x32FP I knew I would hate the neck strap system
then about a year later I got a set of the same and they had the neck strap attached.
It has turned out I actually like it.
