I just discovered this board today. I've never been here before, signed up just a few minutes ago. I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Is anyone from vancouver, washington state? That is where I am from.

:)

On behalf of staff and moderators a warm welcome to Birdforum.

I see you've already posted in several sections since joining. Good to see you getting involved.:t:

Hi Deanne and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.

I, too stumbled upon this site while searching for information on how to record bird calls in the field. Not a complete obsessive, just keenly interested in capturing good images and now, sounds. Looking forward to learning more and sharing images.

soo I am new today too....and I have relatives in Camus (near Vancouver). Participated in the Pasadena, CA Audibon bird count last week. Will look for articles about 8 X 42 vs 10 X 50 binoculars and also info about scopes and cameras. going slow and learning...am novice.
