Is it true that bats can attack people when starving ? (1 Viewer)

I love bats. As for "attacking" people I would hardly call a bite on the toe, that doesn't even stir the sleeping host, an attack. If the question was directed at insectivorous bats typical of temperate regions, then I'd suggest that it has never happened. I doubt it has ever happened even in the case of a rabid insectivorous bat. Biting the hand of a ringer or other handler is another matter of course. That's called defence.
