Llobregat, Spain - a few easy ones??? (1 Viewer)

Hi all

Go easy on me. European birds are still a mystery for me (becoming less so) and I would like some assistance with the following:

(1) Three birds (all from same shots, but condensed)
LH: Redshank
Middle: Mallard eclipse
RH: Greenshank

(2) This bird was swimming around in the shallows kind on near a Little Grebe. It does not match the juvenile in my Collin's guide, but that is my guess.

(3) Every bone in my body says Greenfinch but something does not feel right. When I Googled Greenfinch images, none matched this. Can someone confirm?

On a similar note, when I was in Asia, we had the excellent OBC (Oriental Bird Club) image data-base to compare images to. Is there anything similar for Europe (where I am now) or the Middle-East (where I will work soon)?

Thanks in advance

Wayne

Not quite the same, but click Opus up above, look at the included image(s), then click the link for gallery search near the bottom of each page (searches initiated in the opus pages are generally more specific than those you would initiate yourself in the gallery search function).
