A Black stork at Salobrar de Campos is a good bird, seen yesterday but may still be in the area. Some thrushes coming through, White wagtails around as are Robins. Looking forward to seeing Black redstarts returning.
Fabulous views on the bus up to Cuber. I had been given negative reports on the birding quality by two pairs of birders over the last few days so wasn't too hopeful.
Passerines were a little scarce and I didn't get any of the local stars ( moustached warbler, sub alp, rock thrush) that I had read about. Willow Warbler, Grey Wagtail, Greenfinch, Wheatear, Robin, Blackcap and stonechat were the only passerines in sight. My main taget of the trip was Vultures and I was certainly not dissapointed. Black Vulture within 2 minutes of arriving, then regular sightings of Griffon Vulture and Booted Eagle. A lovely low flyover by a Red Kite just before I left finished the day off nicely.
