this is a nice Thread
I was 08.2012 there and we stayed near the Albufera Reserve in Alcudia. Very hot and not much water there. But, first time for my long lens to come with me in vacation.
I have nearly the same picture from the osprey there )
also pictures from herons (purple, night, grey), marsh harrier, hoopoes, warblers and so on.
It was the wrong month (toooo hot), but it is a beautifull place, also the other spots there.
I did not read the whole thread, but Highly recommendable is the informative Majorca Birding Guide:

and an early/late permission, wich you can get in the information center for free.
