Can this be downloaded anywhere?

I've noticed that the left eyecup is very tight and the right eyecup is very loose. Anyone else notice this? The left also takes more effort to extend and retract than the right. I don’t' know how they come off to take a look at what the difference internally is causing this.

I'll see if I can find mine.

The manual says, "If the eyepieces are very dirty, it is recommended to remove the cups for cleaning. To do this, they are turned slightly back clockwise and gently pulled while in the fully unscrewed position."

If you need to see the not very helpful picture, I can scan the page and e-mail it to you.

Thanks Paul! They are very easy to remove once you know this information. It turns out that one of the eyecups is consistently tighter when placed on either side. I'm going to contact Leica and see if they can send me some to try so I can pick out a matching set.

I can scan you a copy of mine if you like, but it is very simple to get off as said above.
one thing i would liek to mention here is if you got tights once dont knock it. mine have been loose & changed 3 times, still loose & drive me nuts. they dont effect anything just i would prefure to have stiff ones (wouldnt we all ;-) )
I hope you have sorted this out but please let me know as I have an interest in this thread having similar problems

The pair of eyecup inserts sent by Leica were both consistently and equally firm in their action. Do yours start out tight and loosen with repeated use? If they are loose from the start and you have tried several different sets of inserts it would suggest tolerance variation on the metal pins themselves. I'm also assuming that the pins have a very light film of grease on them, as this would probably prevent accelerated wear.

seems more like a variation in pin diameter to me too, i will contact Leica now before i forget & it goes on another couple of months

thanks anyway
