Hi! I just bought this scope and having it sent to me. The seller told me it is made in Japan and he paid roughly 1000-1500$ for it back in 2015. It's a 20-60x60mm. The label is gone and it has been used at an indoor shooting range the past 10 years. Does anyone know what brand this is? I will update the post if needed once i get it with more pics, which should be early next week.

Opticron hr 60/45 , as it's black it may be the ED version,i think they were around in the 1980s?
Agree, even if it was the ED version the original retail would be less than 1/3 of what the seller claimed - in the UK, the ED version sells for £75 - £150, with the plain glass version selling for between £40 - £80.
How much did you pay (if you don't mind me asking)?

Thanks for reply. It surely looks like it. I paid 80$ for it with a manfrotto tripod so i thought itd be worth the risk and i suspected the price mentioned was high.
I'm guessing these Opticrons could be comparable to the Kowas perhaps, the TS1 models?

I'd say if that was the plain glass version you did pretty well, and if it has ED glass then it was a bit of a bargain!
There is some useful information here: Opticron HR 60?
Enjoy!
